How do you approach a veteran experiencing severe PTSD and/or having trouble integrating back into civilian life?

First I would need to know if they were under any professional psychiatric care and on any psychiatric drugs. If yes, I would need to have a joint visit with them and their care provider. I would agree to work with them in collaboration of their care provider. I would then evaluate their individual needs for their healing.
